​As a member i agree to

1. Respect all club members, regardless of skill level or experience

2. ⁠Follow the rules and guidelines of the club and the sport of Pickleball

3. ⁠Be punctual for scheduled club sessions and events

4. Respect and report any damage to club equipment

5. ⁠Keep the courts and surrounding areas clean and tidy, and dispose of litter appropriately

6. ⁠Share court time fairly with other members and use a fair and prompt rotation system in sessions.

7. Communicate politely and constructively to encourage and support fellow players

8. ⁠The receiving team is responsible for calling whether a ball is in or out – if they're unsure then replay the point.

 

 

In addition i agree to the following

1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in pickleball, like any physical sport, involves inherent risks, including but not limited to, the risk of injury or illness. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in any activities organised by the Club, including practices, matches, and social events.

 

2. Health and Fitness
I confirm that I am physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent me from safely participating in pickleball activities. I agree to inform the Club of any changes to my health status that may affect my ability to participate safely.

 

3. Release of Liability
I hereby release, waive, and discharge the Club, its officers, members, volunteers, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that may arise from my participation in Club activities, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

 

4. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Club, its officers, members, volunteers, and agents from any claims, actions, or damages, including legal fees, resulting from my participation in Club activities or from any actions or negligence on my part.

 

5. Code of Conduct
I agree to adhere to the Club's code of conduct, which promotes fair play, respect, and sportsmanship. I understand that failure to comply with the code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of my membership.

 

6. Photography and Media Release
I grant permission to the Club to use photographs, videos, or other media that may include my image or likeness, taken during Club activities, for promotional purposes, including but not limited to, social media, websites, and newsletters.

 

7. Data Protection
I understand that the Club will collect and process my personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). My data will be used solely for Club-related purposes and will not be shared with third parties without my consent.

 

8. COVID-19 and Other Health Considerations
I acknowledge the ongoing risk of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases. I agree to comply with any health and safety guidelines set forth by the Club, including but not limited to, social distancing, wearing masks, and reporting any symptoms or exposure to communicable diseases. I understand that participation is at my own risk.

 

9. Emergency Contact Information
I agree to provide up-to-date emergency contact information to the Club and understand that this information will only be used in the event of an emergency.

 

10. Membership Fees and Refund Policy
I understand that membership fees are non-refundable, except under exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Club's committee. I agree to pay all fees in a timely manner as a condition of my continued membership.

11. Governing Law
This waiver and any disputes arising from it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
